Flower Grows in the Mountains of Tawian
By Sonya: I am looking for the name of a flower that only grows in the mountains of Tawian, and only when it snows. It grows on the ground from what I was told and I cant find it anywhere! If you have any helpfull hints on what the name is, or where I can find it?Answer By The Flower Expert: I think you are talking about, Cypripedium segawai (Lady’s slipper)This is the flower exclusive to Taiwan.Cypripedium segawai is known only from Taiwan, South East Asia.They can withstand extreme cold, growing under the snow and blooming when the snow melts. But, in the wild, most have become rare and close to extinction.
