Peonies

By Karla: My peoney always gets a bud on it but then dries up what am I doing wrong?Answer By The Flower Expert: Peonies are best planted in early fall, from September to October.Peonies generally bloom during May – June. Those species with side buds are disbudded leaving only the central bud to ensure flower size.Newly established peonies may not bloom for up to 2 years.Failure to bloom may also be due to :the use of immature plants, planting too small tubers or planting too deep, insufficient sun, less nutrition, or winter dormancy. In this case, probably due to its movement or transplanting several times might have caused the peonies not to bloom.
